Homo Naledi...would you say this fossil finding is the missing link? It is said that this face changes human history. What about the future?
How relevant is a fossil finding to my everyday life and experiences?
To some people it means a whole lot and others couldn't be bothered by it.
I do not support the evolution theory, but I think I can identify with the joy of the researchers when finding something valuable to them.
The last few months I have asked myself some tough questions. Basically a re-evaluation of the foundation of my thinking and beliefs...
I realized, after much debate with myself and others. That I have been blindly neglecting a huge chunk of the truth!
I have been found to be so focused on DOING THINGS RIGHT that I have neglected the WHY behind it. Not all of it is my doing of course. It has been a collaborative mess with regards to upbringing and what is being taught in mainstream society. Add a little sugarcoat of pressure and guess what, you are baked! (a.k.a you've been had).
What is the gospel really?
The bible says, referring to the great commandment, that as a christian I should go and preach the gospel to all nations (not necessarily with words, our lives speaks loudest), but what is it? What is the gospel reeaally?
Christian pastors and leaders...are we really preaching the gospel?
This is just a question that has come up in my mind. Especially because I have been SO focused on everything I do wrong as a christian INSTEAD of being focused on what God has DONE to make it right!
The missing link, to me, this year, has been the overwhelming concept of Grace.
Knowing for certain God looks at us with unconditional LOVE. He is for me...not against me...and aligning my focus into this fundamental truth.
It is such a simple truth with so much power!
Something I am exploring and learning about daily!
Jesus given as an OFFERING for us when we were still sinners?....herein lies the beauty of Grace and UNCONDITIONAL love. This is the gospel message. And it remains the foundation and the building block (cornerstone) of our faith.
Have a good look at your life and find out what it is you are chasing?
I have lost focus at times, but have decided
to turn my gaze towards LOVE. (God is LOVE). I believe that this will change not only the face of my history, but it will change the face of my future filled with the presence of LOVE. This is my heart for 2016. To Chase Love and live this gift of life in all its fullness.
Let us come as we are, missing, lost or found.
He will love us into wholeness!
