“Cake-a-phor” #1
Chocolate Lava (LOVE) Cake
Even since I was a little girl, I have been making
up little stories in my head, with a plot, dialogue and scene settings…etc.
These little stories could go on for days and I would “slip away” into my
mind every chance I got. To my astonishment, I realized the other day
that I have passed this quirky little trait on to my eldest. He is
forever having little dialogues with himself and on more than one occasion, I
have had to ask him to lower the volume on his sound effects :-) Since
discovering this, I have given it lots of thought as to why I do such a strange
little thing that is obviously a part of my genetic make-up…….and I have come
to the conclusion that I am an absolute romantic at heart!
I love getting lost in a good story with strong
independent characters of substance, just like the outside of a firm chocolate
lava cake, but at the same time, I also love that at our very core, there is
flowing movement, a oozy bitter sweetness…….. And, although we fight it and
guard it with all our might, the goo in our own centres is the part we are
meant to share with others. It is such a challenge for us, for me.
The outside we share willingly, but the goo is off limits.
I think that believing in Jesus and letting Him
truly be your inner voice, you have to allow Him into the softest part of you.
This, this act of total surrender is the most beautiful part of this
romance we are living in today…..this story……the GREATEST Love Story of ALL
Time.
For everything created by God is good,
and nothing is to be rejected
if it is received with thanksgiving,
for it is made holy by the
word of God and prayer.
