STAY ON THE RIGHT COURSE
I usually write in Afrikaans but this once I will write in English and you will see why soon.I will also be referencing a lot of songs because that’s just how I’m designed. Worship songs are also the way I remind myself of God’s truths throughout the day and it encourages me. I hope it will encourage you too.
Stress is something we can all relate to.
Being stressed almost seems to be the norm these days.
When you are under intense stress, you feel strained. Too much is expected from you. You almost feel stretched out too far, like a balloon threatening to burst. You start acting strange. You sometimes struggle with basic things. For example, I am(usually) a very friendly and patient person but stress makes it difficult for me. Our family has been under a lot of stress lately with my husband writing final exams for a five year post graduate degree. (I also experienced intense stress when my mother struggled with cancer and passed away three years ago)

Of course this is rarely the ONLY thing going on… it never rains, it pours ;) Having intense stress is usually amplified by the fact that everyday stresses still continue.
For me, as long as I know there is a limit or an end,to the intense stress, in sight I can continue. I can hold on for a while.I remember the promises I made and more important the promises of God and I Stay The course as best I can. Just make sure it is the Right course. Run the race with perseverance…Hebrews 12:1
We all have a limit as to how much stress we can handle. God promises….
That’s definitely true for me. I’m “Lost without You” and Your Hope God.
If you follow God’s course for Your life by praying and trusting the stress will not break you, it will make you stronger. “When the waves … stronger”
lyrics from a song by Mandisa:
Keep on the straight and narrow, don’t stray, don’t follow the stream, or take the easy way out. Keep on doing the right thing each day, keep choosing the right things.Take it one step at a time. Stay the (Right) Course…*
Soon you will be looking back to see how far you’ve come…
I am encouraged by someone I know who almost gave up on her marriage, with very good reason, but decided to trust God and StayTheRight Course and is reaping the fruits today.
Because He promises, those who wait upon the Lord…
God also promises He will never leave you nor forsake you Hebrew 13:5 and He will complete the good work in you…
Sometimes, when it is just too much, all you can do is: “Stop holding on and just be held.”
