Waterproof Principle 17 - Fresh Water

"Mercy to the Needy is a loan to God, and God pays back those loans in full." Proverbs 19:17 MSG Hi there all, and welcome! No 17 ... "By watering others you water yourself" ...It is so easy to get stuck in our own problems, and our own people ... when we reach out to God and what He desires for those around us, He stretches our vision beyond ourselves and our problems. Joseph (Genesis 39) was sent to prison, unfairly also! The man had two choices. He could strive to be the best prisoner in that prison (hee,hee...Captain Prison!!!)...OR he could sit inside there feeling sorry for himself, really only wasting away in his misery, being of no use to himself or to anyone in that prison. "Two men behind prison bars, the one saw mud, the other stars." Genesis 39:21 "But the Lord was with Joseph and showed him mercy, and He gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison." (Remain in Me and I will remain in you... John 15) Josep

Waterproof - Principle 16 - Make Up YOuR MiNd

"Don't say anything you don't mean, this counsel is embedded deep in our traditions. You only make things worse when you lay down a smoke screen of pious talk, saying, "I'll pray for you", and never doing it, or saying, "God be with you" and not meaning it. You don't make your words true by embellishing them with religious lace. In making your speech sound more religious, it becomes less true. Just say YES and NO. When you manipulate words to get your own way, you go wrong." - Matthew 5:33-37 What a great lesson this is to me! One that God has confirmed, through scripture and through people. It is very important to Him. He gave me the following: You can't be hot and cold, You can't be Martha and Maria, You can't serve God and Money, You can't fear God and man ... and like I heard Joyce Meyer say it, "Get in, Get out or Get Run-over." "Can I Come ... Close to you

Waterproof Principle 15

"DON'T GOSSIP" "Strong minds discuss ideas, average minds discuss events, weak  minds discuss people.”   Socrates So easy to do...and it also says so much about you and your character when you do. Also, be careful not to step in it... WALK AWAY. Let us sharpen our characters in Christ by renewing our minds with the word of God.  "a Gossip goes around telling secrets, but those who are trustworthy can keep a confidence." Prov 11:13 "Wrongdoers eagerly listen to gossip; liars pay close attention to slander." Prov 17:4 "Fire goes out without wood, and quarrels disappear when gossip stops." Prov 26:20 What a beautiful thing when someone has your back, when you know you can relax and trust in your everyday relationships with friends and family. One feels safe and respected. Are you a trustworthy and reliable friend? Can you keep a secret?  "Do to others as you would like them to do to you.&quo
