Bruce Wilkinson in SA for a month

International ministry leader and award-winning author, Dr Bruce Wilkinson, will visit George and Mossel Bay on 5, 6 and 7 September 2018. It is envisaged that this will be the last time Wilkinson will be touring South Africa to address audiences. The world renowned Teach Every Nation (TEN) was founded by Dr Wilkinson as the culmination of four decades of proven global ministry and training ‘best practices’.

The Garden Route is looking forward to three opportunities to share in Wilkinson’s wisdom and to take away food for the soul.

The programme during all events will focus on the work of Teach Every Nation and their new Bible on Wheels Project. In conjunction with Siloam Ministries and Africa Skills Private College they will be doing a fundraiser business breakfast and a lunch event in George. Here Wilkinson will lead two sermons on the 6th, followed by a community evening with residents and leaders.

It is safe to say that Dr Wilkinson will undoubtedly inspire audiences during this…

Embrace the Ouchie

I just fixed my favorite jeans. And I love it more than before.

This particular pair of jeans has been part of my wardrobe for more than 10 years now. Yes, at times it doesn’t fit and become a stow away in the back of my closet. An illegal immigrant hiding away, gasping for some fresh air and a chance to live freely... even though it would be embarrassing for it, and uncomfortable for me, to be seen together in public.

Let me establish this, it’s not just ordinary jeans. it’s got a funky buckle at the back, zips on the pockets (little useless 4cm x 10cm ones), and bleach scorched lines on the upper thighs, and a wide leg cut – a fit not easy to find in a Skinny Jean World these days. Comfortable, funky, and thus to my mind – pretty awesome.

Over the years the overstressed seams and zippers managed to hold but the scorched lines proved to be the weakest link in the whole ensemble. The bleach truly did a number on them. The first rip I determinedly labelled as fashionable. Over time I d…

Kanasashi Tattoos

Bradly Kanasashi is a Tattoo Artist from Cape Town. Carefully respecting life, people and the unique stories each one has to share. His passion is set alight by being able to create and do what he does best; tattooing and painting.
1. Please tell our readers a bit more about yourself?

I was born and raised in Manenberg. I was raised by my mother and grandmother. Not having much money, furthering my education was not an option. I then had to build myself up and got a regular job in the printing industry. I was employed there for 4 years. This path led me to become self employed where I grew as an individual for 16 years. I later discovered my passion and tattooing became my way of expression. I have been a tattoo artist for 10 years. With art always being the driving force in everything I have done, it was no surprise that painting would soon capture my way of expression. In the last 2 years, I have created works of art which did not require a needle. I have aspirations to take not only…

THE WIFE

Volgens die bekende gesegde is daar altyd wonderlike vrou agter elke suksesvolle man.

Sew & Such

Ina-Mari Kemp, a dreamer inspired. Creating and making pretty things by hand, she sets hearts alight. She works by creating beautiful and original pieces for the home. Whether decorative or practical. NationInspiration caught up with her to hear her thoughts on life, being creative and just being.

1. Please tell our readers more about yourself and also about Sew & Such?

I live in Cape Town with my husband and our very entertaining toddler. My husband and I work mostly from home, which we love because we get to spend a lot of time together as a family. I grew up with very creative and innovative female role models, from making their own clothes or baking very elaborate birthday cakes to business owners and everything in between. That influence has pretty much paved the way for Sew and Such. I never really planned on starting a business it was just a natural extension of who I am. I love having the ability to create something from scratch, from screen printing my own fabric to making …
