Risk to Live. Risk to Love

“He said, ‘That’s what I mean: Risk your life and get more than you ever dreamed of. Play it safe and end up holding the bag. (Luke 19:26 MSG) We only have today We only have now What is it about now that you HAVE? Would you give it away...? That precious thing The heart of all you are When we are young we tend to love foolishly. all over the place. no boundaries or caution in sight. a Few knocks and drops; some of us bent INTO shape  others bent and broken OUT of shape... Trust Wins. God is the only safe refuge for a broken heart. All other hands will drop it, break it, damage that unprotected, foolish heart. When we accept that we are Loved. There. in Him. we are free to love the brokenness around us. Love it all back to health. If each heart on this planet loved from a place of The Trusted Refuge God is...this would be a better place. I loved Life But was very disappointed by the loss of it. if you've lost loved ones through death or separation you'll understand this At my l...

In Christ - with Charl van der Walt

In Christ   My wish for everyone that will read this blog post is that they would receive a fresh perspective of what it means to be united with Abba Father.   The mystery that was hidden for ages or the meaning of life which is the so called fountain of youth or Eldorado (city of gold)  has  been discovered. The answer is… you and the entire cosmos is mystically united with God in Christ . You are loved and accepted just the way you are. Nothing that you can or can’t do can undo what Love made possible on a ‘tree’.  Your thoughts, actions and feelings  do  not determine the answer and the answer is not determined by your efforts. The answer is and forever will be… available to all.  You can stop searching for the purpose of life (whatever that may look like for you) for the mystery or ‘secret’ is that you don’t have to do anything to unite yourself with the Creator. The Creator did everything to unite Himself with humanity. Mankind is united with...

Finding Voice

We all, at one point or another, overstep some boundaries in search of ourselves. When you're on a quest finding your way in this upside down system/world we live in, and you do overstep here and there ~ life will quickly knock you back into place. This is our time to find Voice. To take a time-out and re-asses the way we have been going about. Either you were wrong or the current world system (or whatever you have put your trust in) has failed you (or both :) whichever way your cookie crumbled...this is a good place to stop and find Voice. We are not a people accidentally banged (the big bang...) into being...look at nature. Perfectly designed and created. As are we. When we were kids, we knew exactly what we wanted and when we wanted it. We weren't afraid to say it, live it, or dream it. Nothing was impossible. We live in a society of conformity and tradition and all that makes us feel safe and comfortable. Creatures of habit. Dreams go beyond the bo...

The Judas Goat How to deal with false friendships, betrayals and the temptation not to forgive By Perry Stone bestselling author and international Evangelist It is a strange title to for a book but seen in the light of our spiritual Hebrew roots it’s  a very just and suitable title. This is a thought provoking book about the enemy’s strategies to destroy relationships in your personal life and the Body of Christ by false friendships and betrayals and not to forgive harms you more than the person that causes the pain and betrayal. It’s explained in the book that a Judas goat is a real goat that exist and he practically lives with sheep and at the end he is used to lead the sheep to the slaughterhouse. The book equips you to make the link between how to identify the Judas goats and deal with them and the hurt they caused. I personally like the writer’s vast knowledge of Jewish traditions and language. Throughout the book he explains what words mean in Hebrew an...

DIY with Creative Cookie

Great Crates I have two busy boys and as with all kids, loads of “stuff” is always accumulated.  Some things are just plain junk, but then there are other things that will always have value in our house.  One of those things is books.  The need arose for some sort of bookshelf, the one we had been using up to now, was becoming cramped and the books were suffering because of it J So instead of going out and just buying a bookshelf, I wanted to use something different, something recycled and most importantly, something the boys could help with.  I was able to buy old wooden cold drink crates from a second-hand shop and then the fun began…. They were full of cobwebs so we gave them a wash and put in the sun to dry.....then we sanded them all over, every nook and cranny.  We then painted 2 coats of white paint, sanding in-between each coat to ensure a smooth finish.  Finally, they got 1 coat of colour.  Once dry we sanded over the co...

In His Rest

Welcome to NasieInspirasie! The goal is to inspire through the seemingly little. God saw a King in David when his brothers and family saw a pip-squeeck,  a nobody... God looks at the heart. The word in James teaches us that  a tiny spark can set a great forest on fire! NasieInspirasie is about bringing what you have, bring what you have been given, and keep the fire burning. This month we have a special guest, Louise. She is delving into and exploring the topic of God's Rest. Be Blessed, Be Inspired! Dear friend, The Word of God is full of hidden treasures.  We must learn to understand the keys to give us a clear  understanding of the Word of God. Proverbs 25:2 tells us :  It is the glory of God to conceal a thing; but the  honor of kings is to search out a matter. Before we can go any further we have to realize that every  Word in His Word has a special message and  that ...

Live a grateful life One can soon forget what it means to be healthy, until one day when you really feel under the weather. Soon we forget the needy or even how it felt when we were in that same situation, when we have more than enough. Sometimes we even take the meal we are about to eat for granted. Clean drinkable water James 1:17 reminds us “Every good gift and every perfect (free, large, full) gift  is from above, it comes down from the Father of all light,  in Whom there can be no variation of shadow cast by his turning.” Not one thing we receive comes from any place else than God himself. We sometimes forget that. Yes, we all have different situations, but that doesn’t mean  we don’t need to be grateful even if we feel we are in a bad spot  or have a bad day, or endure a great deal of pain somewhere in our body. You are alive! Forever! And that is a great way to start your day.  To live by 2 Corinthians 9:15 “Now...
